About
The Hall dates from the 1940s and was left in trust to the village of Ickwell by Colonel G H Wells, in 1957. It is managed by a group of volunteer Trustees, representing the different organisations active in the Parish. It is a registered charity (No: 210814)
It is situated right on Ickwell Green, with parking directly opposite. The Green is renowned for its thatched cottages, maypole and cricket matches in the Summer. You might also spot a Spitfire or Hurricane overhead from the nearby Shuttleworth historic Aircraft collection!
The Hall has been the daily home of Ickwell Pre-School for many years, who use it on weekdays during term time, but it is also hired by music & dance groups, for children’s parties, social activities, Parish Council meetings, and charity events. It is not suitable for very large events but is ideal for smaller gatherings, providing a more intimate venue. Its layout, moreover, comprising two separate but connected halls, provides flexibility in organising your event.
